In a significant blow to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Nagar Kurnool MP Ramulu has defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His transition to the BJP was marked by a formal joining ceremony attended by his son Bharath, BJP State In-charge Tarun Chugh, and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

Tarun Chugh, addressing the gathering, hailed MP Ramulu as a man of unwavering integrity and indicated that the BRS party’s era is now over, likening it to a sinking ship. He criticized the BRS for its authoritarian tendencies, alleging that such behavior had alienated voters. Chugh underscored the invaluable contributions of Ramulu to the BJP and expressed confidence that the welfare initiatives spearheaded by Prime Minister Modi would secure a significant electoral mandate for the BJP.

Speaking at the event, MP Ramulu highlighted the ongoing trend of individuals committed to societal welfare aligning themselves with the BJP across the nation. He commended Modi’s relentless efforts to combat poverty and credited his decision to join the BJP to Modi’s role in elevating India’s global standing.
