Telangana State Horticultural University Celebrates Sportsmanship for Academic Success

In Mulugu, Telangana, Dr. B. Neeraja Prabhakar, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University, underscored the pivotal role of sportsmanship in attaining academic excellence. Addressing the commencement of the 3rd Inter-College Games, Sports, Cultural, and Literary Competition, Dr. Neeraja Prabhakar urged students to prioritize physical fitness to bolster mental fortitude.

“Academic achievement is intricately linked with both physical and mental well-being,” emphasized Vice-Chancellor Dr. Neeraja Prabhakar, spotlighting the university’s comprehensive educational philosophy.

Participating in the competitions were students from various esteemed horticultural institutes, including the College of Horticulture, Rajendranagar, Mojerla, and Malyal Horticultural College. The event featured a diverse array of nine sports disciplines and fifteen cultural and literary events.

The inaugural ceremony enthralled onlookers with captivating traditional performances such as the torch relay and the lively bathukamma dance.

Distinguished guests, including Dr. A. Bhagwan, Registrar of Horticultural University, and Dr. M. Rajasekhar, Dean of Horticulture, graced the occasion, commending the university’s steadfast commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The celebration of sportsmanship alongside scholarly prowess exemplifies Telangana State Horticultural University’s unwavering dedication to cultivating resilient and accomplished individuals.
