Delhi Traffic Police orchestrated a seamless 16-kilometre green corridor, expediting the transport of a cadaveric liver from IGI airport to a hospital in Dwarka within a remarkable 18 minutes, an official revealed on Wednesday.

In a unified endeavor involving healthcare institutions, law enforcement, and transportation authorities, the cadaveric liver was swiftly conveyed to the Akash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka, with utmost urgency.

A senior traffic police official stated, “A green corridor spanning approximately 16 km was meticulously planned, with 35 traffic personnel strategically positioned along the route to ensure the ambulance’s unimpeded progress. Remarkably, the entire 16 km journey was completed in a mere 18 minutes, ensuring the safe delivery of the organ to the hospital.”

The deployment of the green corridor played a pivotal role in expediting the organ’s transportation, significantly reducing transit time and enhancing the organ’s viability for transplantation.

Expressing gratitude to all stakeholders involved, including healthcare professionals, transportation authorities, and the public, the Delhi Traffic Police lauded their collaborative effort, underscoring its vital contribution to the success of this life-saving mission.
