Amaravati: Vijayasai Reddy, a prominent YCP Rajya Sabha member, renowned for his active involvement in politics, has announced his candidacy for the upcoming elections from the Nellore Lok Sabha constituency, marking his debut in direct electoral competition. Hailing from the Nellore district himself, Reddy’s decision has brought the spotlight onto the assembly segments within his sphere of influence.
In a significant political maneuver, former Kavali MLA Venteru Venugopal Reddy recently defected from YCP to join TDP, adding a layer of intrigue to the electoral landscape. Against this backdrop, Vijayasai Reddy took to Twitter to make pointed remarks about Chandrababu Naidu’s alleged political tactics.
In his tweet, he stated, “Who isn’t aware of Chandrababu’s manipulative strategies? Securing a seat in his party allegedly demands exorbitant sums, ranging from hundreds of crores. Naidu is purportedly willing to lavish money to sway individuals, with the price varying depending on the individual’s significance, ranging from seven crores to twenty crores. There’s no need for flattery; even a novice could discern Naidu’s alleged transactions.”
Earlier, in interactions with the media, Vijayasai Reddy ridiculed the TDP for purportedly failing to field a suitable candidate for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat, resulting in the selection of a defector from their own ranks. Notably, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, the TDP candidate for Nellore, recently switched allegiance from YCP to TDP.
