The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is still strong in the hearts of the people of Telangana, according to its leader, Chandrababu Naidu. He noted that the TDP is the only strong party in the state and won 15 seats and 22% of the votes in 2014. Despite the state’s division, the TDP has continued to serve the people and raise living standards. Naidu emphasized the need to take forward the theory given by N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) that “Society is temple, people are gods” and create a society without poverty. He pointed out that the TDP has given special reservations to backward classes and increased leadership.
Under the TDP’s leadership, Telangana has developed Cyberabad, a high-tech city, to compete with Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The state has also become a knowledge hub, with the Genome Valley being used to prepare the COVID-19 vaccine. Naidu emphasized that the TDP’s development work is permanent and has brought permanent results. The TDP has also developed infrastructure such as the outer ring road, international airport, and drinking water supply. The party has maintained peace and order and ended religious strife in Telangana.
After Kasani Gnyaneshwar became the President of the Telangana Party, the TDP has continued to operate under new leadership. Naidu has directed party leaders to remind people of the TDP’s efforts for their development and welfare. He called on the youth to support the TDP, work together to bring glory to the party, and bring the results of welfare schemes to every poor person. The TDP has also focused on social justice, categorizing SCs and ensuring justice for Madigalas.
The TDP will organize a massive open meeting on March 29 under the leadership of Kasani Gnyaneshwar at the Secunderabad parade ground. The party leaders will remind people of the TDP’s development and welfare work, and pay off the party’s debt. The TDP has also appealed to the Centre to award NTR with the Bharat Ratna.
