TS TET 2024 Application Deadline Extended
The deadline for applying to the Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET-2024) has been extended, allowing candidates more time to submit their applications. In an announcement made on Wednesday by the Commissioner of School Education, candidates now have the flexibility to apply until the 20th of this month. This decision comes amidst a significant decrease in the number of Tet applications received compared to previous years. Despite initial expectations of reaching up to three lakhs, the total number of applications has not yet surpassed two lakhs.
One factor contributing to the decline in applications may be the application fee, which has been set at Rs. 1000 for this year. In previous years, the application fee was lower, potentially discouraging some candidates from applying. Official figures indicate that 3.40 lakh applications were received in 2016, followed by 3.29 lakh in 2017, 3.79 lakh in 2022, and 2.83 lakh in 2023.
With the deadline extension, candidates now have additional time to complete their applications for the TS TET-2024, providing an opportunity for those who may have initially hesitated to apply.
