Marepalli Sudheer Kumar Named Bharat Rashtra Samithi Candidate for Warangal Lok Sabha Seat

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has officially announced Marepalli Sudheer Kumar as the party’s candidate for the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency. This declaration follows extensive deliberations with Warangal district leaders at KCR’s farmhouse.

Initially, there were speculations regarding Dr. Rajayya’s potential candidacy for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat, fueled by his recent meeting with KCR. However, after consultations with party officials, KCR affirmed Sudheer Kumar as the chosen candidate.

Sudheer Kumar, hailing from Hanamkonda district and representing the Madiga community, currently serves as the chairman of the Hanamkonda District Council. His involvement in the Telangana movement since 2001 and dedicated party membership earned him unanimous support from key leaders of the United Warangal district.

The decision was reached following thorough consultations and recommendations from district leaders.

The meeting at KCR’s farmhouse was attended by prominent figures, including former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Jangaon MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, and former MLA T. Rajayya. Despite Rajayya’s previous resignation from the BRS post-assembly elections, he was invited to the meeting by KCR. Until the final moments, suspense surrounded the candidate announcement, with Rajayya also anticipating the ticket.
