In a bid to contest against MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Kompella Madhavilatha, the BJP candidate from Hyderabad, has revealed her staggering financial worth. According to her election affidavit, Madhavilatha declared family assets totaling Rs. 221.37 crores, comprising both movable and immovable properties. The movable assets stand at Rs. 165.46 crores, while immovable assets amount to Rs. 55.92 crores. However, amidst this substantial wealth, debts amounting to Rs. 27.03 crores were also disclosed.
The breakdown of assets includes shares in Vino Biotech and Virinchi Limited valued at Rs. 8.92 crores under Madhavilatha’s name, and shares worth Rs. 56.19 crores under her husband Kompella Vishwanath’s name. Additionally, unlisted companies such as Vira Systems, PKI Solutions, and Gajwel Developers possess shares valued at Rs. 16.27 crores, with Madhavilatha’s husband holding shares worth Rs. 29.56 crores. Notably, both Madhavilatha and her husband jointly own 5 kg of gold.
Despite the substantial financial disclosure, Madhavilatha clarified the absence of agricultural lands and vehicles in their possession. Furthermore, she acknowledged a criminal case against her while affirming her academic credentials, having attained a master’s degree in political science.
