Election Commission Bans KCR’s Campaign for 48 Hours Over Alleged Inappropriate Comments; BRS and Congress Trade Allegations

In a significant development ahead of the elections, the Election Commission of India has imposed a 48-hour ban on the election campaign of Telangana’s former Chief Minister and BRS leader, KCR. This decision stems from complaints filed by Congress leaders, who allege that KCR made inappropriate comments during his campaign rallies.
The ban, scheduled to be effective from 8 pm on Wednesday until 8 pm on Sunday, has ignited a flurry of reactions from both political camps. In a retaliatory move, the BRS party has lodged a complaint against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging forgery of a circular related to OU Hostels. They have urged the Election Commission to initiate legal proceedings against Revanth Reddy, further intensifying the political drama leading up to the elections.
