Telangana Deputy CM Denounces False Power Cut Propaganda by Opposition

Hyderabad, May 7, 2024:

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Energy Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu reassured the public that there is no shortage of electricity to meet the surging demand in Telangana, despite soaring temperatures. He cited an impressive increase in demand and consumption, with a rise of 52.9% from May 1 to 6 compared to the same period last year.

In a detailed statement, Mr. Bhatti highlighted the efficient functioning of the electricity department, ensuring uninterrupted power supply. He pointed out that under the previous government, power consumption remained stagnant, contrasting it with the current administration’s proactive approach.

Mr. Bhatti condemned the false propaganda by opposition party leaders, accusing them of spreading misinformation about power cuts. He challenged their claims, citing instances where power demand exceeded expectations, yet the electricity department managed to meet the surge without interruptions.

The Deputy CM criticized the opposition’s attempt to blame the government for isolated incidents, such as power interruptions during political events, which he attributed to technical issues rather than systemic failures.

Mr. Bhatti urged the public to discern fact from fiction, dismissing the opposition’s claims as baseless. He warned that if the opposition continues its campaign of deceit, the people themselves would respond fittingly to their tactics.

In conclusion, Mr. Bhatti emphasized the government’s commitment to providing uninterrupted power supply and called for an end to the spread of false information regarding power cuts in the state.
