Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, following his release from Tihar jail, convened a meeting with his party’s MLAs at his official residence on Sunday. In a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kejriwal asserted that the BJP’s endeavors to destabilize AAP administrations in Delhi and Punjab had met with resounding failure.

“Their inability to dislodge the Delhi government, fracture our MLAs, or dent the Punjab government reflects the collapse of their entire strategy,” stated the Delhi Chief Minister during his address to AAP legislators.

Reflecting on his time in Tihar Jail, Kejriwal expressed gratitude towards his party members for maintaining cohesion in his absence. He revealed, “While incarcerated, I remained informed about our MLAs through conversations with jail staff. I was concerned that my absence might disrupt our work, but you all have performed admirably.”

Kejriwal mentioned regular visits from his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, Delhi ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who provided updates on Delhi’s progress.

Recalling interactions with BJP members prior to his arrest, Kejriwal disclosed their purported intentions to dismantle AAP and seize control of Delhi’s government and AAP MLAs. Contrary to their expectations, Kejriwal noted that his incarceration galvanized the party, resulting in increased unity.

Despite facing a challenging political landscape, Kejriwal commended AAP members for their resilience, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to the party amidst attempts to sow discord.

Ahead of his return to jail on June 2, Kejriwal urged his MLAs to remain steadfast and oversee party affairs.

On Friday, the Supreme Court granted Kejriwal interim bail until June 1 in connection with an alleged excise scam, leading to his release after spending 40 days in Tihar Jail.
