CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena has revealed that Andhra Pradesh has achieved the highest voter turnout nationwide during the ongoing general elections, spanning four phases. With an impressive 81.86% of eligible voters exercising their franchise, the state has set a new benchmark in democratic participation. Notably, 80.66% of votes were cast using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), showcasing the state’s embrace of modern voting technology. However, traditional ballot papers still played a significant role, accounting for the remaining votes.

This surge in voter engagement represents a substantial increase from previous elections, with the 2014 and 2019 polls witnessing turnout rates of 78.41% and 79.77%, respectively. CEO Meena attributed this remarkable achievement to comprehensive voter outreach initiatives and effective polling management strategies implemented across the state.

The significant voter participation underscores the electorate’s enthusiasm and commitment to shaping the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh. As the nation eagerly awaits the election results, the record-breaking turnout in Andhra Pradesh serves as a testament to the vibrancy of democracy in the region.
