Bengaluru, May 23: Authorities in Bengaluru have issued a high alert following a bomb threat email sent to a luxury hotel located in the heart of the city’s tech corridor, adjacent to a prominent technology park in Electronics City. The email claimed that a bomb would detonate in the hotel at around 2 A.M. on Wednesday.

The threatening email was discovered by hotel staff on Thursday morning when they accessed the official email account. Upon discovering the threat, the staff immediately alerted the Electronics City Police Station.

Police responded swiftly, deploying bomb disposal units and search squads to the scene. After conducting a thorough investigation, they confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax. Despite this, the police department is treating the incident with utmost seriousness and has launched a comprehensive investigation.

This bomb threat comes on the heels of several similar threats targeting prestigious schools in Bengaluru, which have heightened concerns among parents and authorities alike. Additionally, the recent Rameshwaram cafe bomb blast and subsequent arrests of suspected bombers—who admitted to planning attacks on software companies and tech professionals in Bengaluru—have led to increased vigilance by the authorities.

The local police are urging the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities immediately as they continue to monitor the situation and work towards ensuring the safety and security of the city’s residents and visitors.
