Hyderabad June 10
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that teacher posts will soon be filled through the District Selection Committee (DSC). This declaration was made during an honor program organized for top-performing class 10 students from government schools by the Vande Mataram Foundation at Rabindra Bharati on Monday, where he was the chief guest.
In his address, CM Reddy commended the Vande Mataram Foundation for its dedicated efforts to uplift government schools. He emphasized the significant role these schools play in shaping the futures of many prominent figures in society. He pointed out that 90 percent of the current IAS and IPS officers are products of government schools. Additionally, he noted that numerous state chief ministers, ministers, and Union ministers have also received their education from these institutions.
Chief Minister Reddy acknowledged that government schools have faced challenges and have been underperforming in recent years. He attributed this decline to various factors but expressed confidence in the government’s commitment to revitalize the education system. He stated that the government is currently investing 80,000 INR per student to enhance the quality of education in government schools.
He also shared that the process of filling teacher vacancies through the DSC will address the shortage of qualified educators, which is one of the key issues affecting the performance of government schools. The CM assured that the recruitment process would be conducted transparently and efficiently to ensure that the best candidates are selected.
The event also celebrated the achievements of the class 10 toppers, highlighting the potential and talent present in government schools. CM Reddy’s announcement was met with enthusiasm, as it promises a brighter future for government school students and aims to restore the schools’ reputation as institutions of excellence.
