TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu took the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, marking his return to the helm for the fourth time in a political career marked by resilience and leadership. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremony was administered by AP Governor Abdul Nazir and included the induction of a new cabinet consisting of 23 members.


The ceremony, held in the presence of a distinguished audience, saw attendance from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Union Ministers, and numerous political and film industry celebrities. Maharashtra Chief Minister Loknath Shinde, former Supreme Court judge NV Ramana, and film stars Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Rajinikanth were also present. Chandrababu Naidu’s family members, including Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Nara Brahmani, Nara Rohit, Ramakrishna, and Krishna Chaitanya, were visibly emotional during the oath-taking.
The TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP alliance won the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections with a significant majority, securing 164 out of 175 seats. The TDP contested in 144 seats and won 135, Jana Sena contested in 21 seats and won all 21, while the BJP contested in 10 seats and won 8. The previous ruling party, YCP, was reduced to just 11 seats.


This electoral victory led to the alliance electing Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister. His swearing-in marks his second term as the Chief Minister of the newly formed Navandhra Pradesh, reflecting his enduring influence and leadership in the state’s politics.
