Congress Campaign Highlights Income Disparities Under Modi’s Rule
In a recent campaign speech, the Indian National Congress (INC) in Telangana has highlighted significant income disparities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration. According to the INC, while the average daily income of a farmer in India is Rs. 27, industrialist Gautam Adani’s income has surged to an astonishing Rs. 1600 crores per day.
The Congress party claims that these figures illustrate the growing economic inequality in the country, criticizing the Modi government’s policies for favoring large corporations and billionaires at the expense of the agricultural sector and common citizens. Party leaders argue that this disparity is a clear indication of the government’s failure to uplift the rural economy and support the livelihoods of millions of farmers who form the backbone of India’s agrarian society.
In their speeches, Congress leaders have pledged to address these inequalities if voted to power, promising policies aimed at increasing farmers’ incomes, providing better support and resources for agriculture, and ensuring a more equitable distribution of wealth across the country.
The campaign has sparked a heated debate on social media and in political circles, with supporters of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) defending the government’s record, while opposition parties and critics echo the Congress’s concerns about growing economic disparities.
