
Telangana’s GVR Karate Academy Wins Overall Championship at National Event
Bangalore, August 5 — In a display of extraordinary skill and determination, the GVR Karate Academy from Telangana has clinched the Overall Championship Cup at the 10th Shotokan National Karate Championship held in Bangalore today.
The competition, a highly anticipated event in the karate calendar, saw 19 dedicated students from the academy take to the mat in both the Kata and Kumite categories. Their participation was marked by a series of impressive performances, showcasing their rigorous training and commitment to the sport.
The athletes delivered an exceptional performance, amassing a total of 33 Gold Medals. In the Kata division alone, the team secured 16 Gold Medals, demonstrating their precision and artistry in the traditional forms of karate. In the Kumite division, they earned 18 Gold Medals, highlighting their prowess and competitive spirit in the sparring arena.
Adding to their achievements, the academy also received 3 Rajita Schemes, a recognition that further underscores their exceptional skill and competitive edge.
