Hyderabad, August 5: A delegation from Telangana has departed for Paris to attend the 2024 Olympics. The visit is part of an initiative led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to explore best practices in sports management and policy development.

The delegation includes Telangana Sports Authority Chairman K. Sivasena Reddy, Government Advisers (Sports) Jitender Reddy, Legislative Council Members Mahesh Kumar Goud, VC & MDA Soni Baladevi IFS, N. Prakash Reddy IPS, former Union Minister S. Venugopala Chari, and M. Ravinder Reddy.

Objectives of the Visit

The delegation’s itinerary includes visits to sports stadiums, examining the arrangements for Olympic competitions, and assessing the potential for hosting future Olympic Games. The team will also review policies adopted by various countries to enhance their sports development and performance.

The visit aims to gather insights that could inform the development of Telangana’s sports policies and programs. Chairman K. Sivasena Reddy and MDA Soni Baladevi believe that this trip will provide valuable knowledge that could contribute to advancing sports in Telangana and help the state implement effective measures for sports development.
