Hyderabad, March 8
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan demanded that women be given 33% reservation in legislatures. He emphasized that this demand was included in the election manifesto of his party, the Jana Sena Party (JSP). Kalyan expressed his belief that increasing the number of seats for women in legislatures would enable them to become financially self-reliant and achieve empowerment.
In his message on Women’s Day, Kalyan said, “The woman is the form of power. The woman is seen in multiple forms. The woman has multifaceted talents. The woman is the originator of human creation.” He added that society and governments must take stringent steps to establish an atrocity-free society for women and achieve complete empowerment.
Kalyan extended his wishes to all women and assured them that he will continue his political efforts to achieve 33% reservation for women in legislatures. He also stated that in a place where women are respected, peace and wealth will flourish.
