All India Horticulture Mela Begins Today

Grand Display of Nursery Products at Necklace Road, Hyderabad

Hyderabad, August 28: The All India Horticulture Mela is set to begin today at the People’s Plaza on Necklace Road. The five-day event, running from Thursday to September 2, will showcase a wide range of agricultural and horticultural products from across the country. Visitors can explore the mela from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Mela in-charge Khalid Ahmed announced that the fair would feature a grand display of nursery products, including plants from various regions such as Andhra Pradesh, Kolkata, Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Shirdi, Kadiam, and Chennai.

Ministers Tummala Nageshwar Rao and Horticulture Director Sheikh Yasmeen Basha are set to inaugurate the event. The mela will highlight new gardening techniques such as terrace gardening, vertical gardening, and hydroponic systems.

A total of 150 stalls will be set up, featuring a variety of plants including medicinal, kitchen, outdoor, bulb, seed, indoor, bonsai, creepers, flowers, and imported plants. Visitors will also find products related to seed links, audiniums, and more.

This event promises to be a great opportunity for gardening enthusiasts to learn about the latest trends in horticulture and explore a diverse range of plant varieties.
