
Nukala Geetha Elected as National Vice President of AIFTO
Lucknow: The All India Federation of Teachers Unions (AIFTO) held its National Council meeting in Lucknow, where key decisions were made for the future of the teaching community.
In a significant development, Nukala Geetha, a government school teacher from Mahabubabad, was elected as the National Vice President of AIFTO. She also took on the role of State Women Associate President of the Progressive Recognised Teachers Union (PRTU) Telangana.
During the meeting, the council discussed critical issues affecting teachers across the country. A key resolution was passed to advocate for the cancellation of the Unified Pension Scheme and the restoration of the old pension scheme, addressing the concerns of teachers and public employees.
