Telangana Government Announces Major IAS Transfers and Postings
Hyderabad, November 11, 2024: In a significant reshuffle, the Government of Telangana has issued orders for the transfer and posting of several IAS officers. The General Administration Department (GAD) released G.O.Rt.No.1494 on Monday, detailing the changes.
Key appointments include:
1. Smita Sabharwal, IAS (2001), currently serving as Member Secretary of the Telangana State Finance Commission, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government, Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture (YAT&C) Department. She will also continue to hold the position of Member Secretary, Telangana State Finance Commission, and take additional charge as Director of Archaeology. This move relieves N. Sridhar, IAS (1997) of the additional charge of the YAT&C Department.
2. E. Sridhar, IAS (2004), Commissioner, Prohibition & Excise, has been posted as Secretary to the Government, Backward Classes (BC) Welfare Department, relieving B. Venkatesham, IAS (1995) from the additional charge. E. Sridhar will also hold additional charge as Commissioner, Endowments, taking over from Zendage Hanumant Kondiba, IAS (2016).
3. Anita Ramachandran, IAS (2004), Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (PR & RD), has been appointed as Secretary to the Government, Women and Child Development (WCD) & Senior Citizens (SC) Department, relieving Dr. T.K. Sreedevi, IAS (2004) of the additional charge.
4. Ilambarithi K., IAS (2005), Commissioner of Transport, has been transferred to the position of Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
5. K. Surendra Mohan, IAS (2006), Secretary to the Government (Mines & Geology), has been appointed as Commissioner of Transport, replacing Ilambarithi K.
6. Chevvuru Hari Kiran, IAS (2009), who has been awaiting posting, has been named Director, Prohibition & Excise, taking over from E. Sridhar.
7. D. Krishna Bhaskar, IAS (2012), Special Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister and Special Secretary to the Government, Finance & Planning, has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of TRANSCO. He will also continue to hold the post of Special Secretary to the Deputy CM.
8. Siva Sankar Lotheti, IAS (2013), awaiting posting, has been appointed as CEO, Arogyasri Health Care Trust, relieving R.V. Karnan, IAS (2012) from the additional charge.
9. Srijana G., IAS (2013), also awaiting posting, has been appointed as Director, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, replacing Anita Ramachandran.
10. Chittem Lakshmi, IAS (2013), awaiting posting, has been named Director, AYUSH, relieving Christina Z. Chongthu, IAS (2001) from additional charge.
11. Krishna Aditya S., IAS (2014), Director of Labour, has been transferred and posted as Director, Intermediate Education and Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education. He will also hold the additional charge of Vice Chairman and Managing Director (VC & MD) of the Telangana Education & Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation (TGWEIDC), relieving E.V. Narsimha Reddy, IAS (2017).
12. Sanjay Kumar, IAS (1995), Principal Secretary to the Government, Labour, Employment, Training & Factories (LET&F) Department, has been given additional charge as Commissioner of Labour, replacing Krishna Aditya S.
13. Dr. Gaurav Uppal, IAS (2005), Resident Commissioner at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, has been given additional charge as Secretary to the Government (Coordination), General Administration Department.
These appointments have been issued under the orders of Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and in the name of the Governor of Telangana.
