CM Revanth Reddy Celebrates First Year of #PrajaPalana with Key Achievements

Hyderabad, December 08,2024: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy marked the first anniversary of the #PrajaPalana initiative by taking to social media to outline the significant achievements of his government over the past year. Highlighting strides in sectors like agriculture, women’s welfare, youth employment, economic growth, and urban development, CM Revanth Reddy expressed gratitude to the people of Telangana for their unwavering trust and support.

In a detailed tweet, CM Reddy shared his government’s commitment to improving the lives of citizens across various sectors. Below are some of the key accomplishments and initiatives during the first year of #PrajaPalana:

Women Welfare Initiatives

One of the government’s major focus areas has been the empowerment and welfare of women in Telangana. The Chief Minister proudly mentioned the following initiatives:

Free Bus Services for Women: Women in Telangana now benefit from free bus services, improving accessibility to education, employment, and healthcare.

Free Domestic Power: The government has provided free electricity up to 200 units for domestic use, easing the financial burden on households, particularly women.

Rs 500 Cooking Gas Cylinders: In an effort to reduce the cost of living, the government offers cooking gas cylinders at a subsidized price of Rs 500, making it more affordable for households across the state.

Farmers’ Welfare

Under the #PrajaPalana initiative, CM Reddy emphasized the government’s deep commitment to the agricultural community:

Farm Loan Waiver: Over 25 lakh farmers in Telangana have received a waiver on farm loans, with more than Rs 21,000 crore being directly credited into their accounts.

Rice Bonus: Farmers producing fine rice above the Minimum Support Price (MSP) have been given a Rs 500 bonus per quintal, further encouraging agricultural productivity.

24/7 Free Electricity: The government continues to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to farmers, aiding them in their daily agricultural activities without additional financial strain.

Housing for All

Addressing the housing needs of the population, the government has made significant strides in providing homes for the people:

Indira Amma Houses: The government has launched a housing project with the allocation of 4 lakh Indira Amma Houses, aimed at providing affordable homes to those in need.

Youth Employment and Welfare

Government Jobs: Over 55,000 government jobs were created in just one year, offering employment to thousands of young people across the state.

FDI Growth: Telangana witnessed a remarkable increase in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), which has doubled in the past nine months. Overall investments in the state grew by more than 200% in the last 11 months, showcasing the government’s focus on boosting the state’s economy.

Urban Reimagination: Hyderabad is set to become the first city in India to undertake an urban reimagination program to address the challenges posed by climate change and urbanization. The program aims to make Hyderabad a model for sustainable urban living.

Infrastructure Projects: Major infrastructure projects are underway, including the construction of the Regional Ring Road, Regional Ring Rail, and the next phase of the Metro Rail, all designed to ease traffic congestion and provide better connectivity. The government is also focused on building India’s first Artificial Intelligence City within the Future City of Hyderabad, a project aimed at fostering technological innovation and sustainable growth.

Caste Survey

The Chief Minister praised the state for its pioneering efforts in social welfare by undertaking one of India’s first comprehensive caste surveys. The initiative has seen near-total participation from citizens and aims to create a more equitable and informed approach to social development.

CM Revanth Reddy also highlighted several progressive initiatives that are making Telangana a model state:

Transgender Traffic Marshals: Hyderabad will soon become the first city in India to have traffic managed by Transgender Marshalls, promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for the transgender community.

Restoration of Democracy and Liberal Values: Under the #PrajaPalana initiative, the government has worked to restore democratic values and liberal governance.

Telangana Thalli Statue: CM Reddy also announced the unveiling of the Telangana Thalli statue at the Secretariat on December 9th, a symbol of the state’s pride and cultural heritage.
