Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Meets Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to Discuss Key Tech Initiatives

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a significant meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the latter’s residence in Hyderabad. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and Ministers Sridhar Babu and Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with other senior officials.

The discussions revolved around several transformative projects, including Microsoft’s potential collaboration on the proposed Skill University in Telangana. The leaders explored avenues for advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, particularly focusing on the establishment of “Future City” and “AI City” initiatives.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of setting up a Center of Excellence in Cloud Computing, urging Microsoft to take a leading role in the effort. He also appealed to Nadella for free credits from OpenAI to support Telangana’s technological innovation and skill development programs.

The expansion of Hyderabad as a global technology hub was another key topic of discussion. Proposals for establishing four additional data centers in Telangana and enhancing the Hyderabad center’s capabilities were deliberated.

The meeting marked a step forward in fostering innovation and technological growth in the state, with Microsoft’s potential partnership poised to play a pivotal role.
