Basawaraj Sharanappa Zille Kuruba Honored with President’s Medal for Distinguished Services
Bidar: Basawaraj Sharanappa Zille Kuruba, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) currently serving as the head of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), has been conferred with the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Services in the Police Department for the year 2025. A native of Kurubkhelagi village in Bhalki taluk, Bidar district, Karnataka, Mr. Zille Kuruba has had an illustrious career marked by integrity, commitment, and innovation. Before embarking on his journey in the police force, he worked with Canara Bank, showcasing his versatility and administrative acumen. In 2001, he joined the Karnataka Police Service as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) through the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).
His journey has been one of consistent excellence. In 2017, Mr. Zille Kuruba was honored with the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service, recognizing his dedication and achievements in policing. During his tenure in Kalaburagi, prior to his current state-level assignment in Bengaluru, Mr. Zille Kuruba went above and beyond his official duties.
