Bandi Sanjay Questions Ration Card Policy, Criticizes State Government Over Development Issues
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has questioned the distribution of free rice under the Public Distribution System (PDS) without featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photograph on the new ration cards. Speaking to the media today, he warned that if the Prime Ministerโs photo is excluded, the central government might directly distribute free rice to the poor, bypassing state-level channels.
Bandi Sanjay also criticized the naming of houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana after โIndiramma,โ a reference to a previous government scheme. He firmly stated that no approvals would be given for houses if such practices continue.
Addressing the upcoming Karimnagar Corporation elections, the Union Minister expressed confidence in the BJPโs victory, regardless of when the elections are scheduled. He alleged that although he secured central funds for various projects in Karimnagar, BRS leaders avoided inviting him to official events for the past decade.
The Minister accused the BRS-led state government of launching development activities under the Smart City Project only after funds were sanctioned by the Modi government. He emphasized that any progress seen in Karimnagar is a result of central government funding and accused the state government of neglect and corruption.
Bandi Sanjay also alleged that the current Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, is following in the footsteps of former Chief Minister KCR by perpetuating illegal practices and corruption. He asserted that people of the state are increasingly aware of the BJPโs contributions and the central governmentโs role in development.
The Union Ministerโs statements come as the BJP intensifies its campaign efforts, targeting alleged mismanagement by the state government and highlighting the Modi governmentโs achievements in Telangana.
