HYDERABAD, February 17 – In a candid address at a face-to-face review held at Singareni Bhavan, CMD N. Balaram emphasized that only those who work hard have a place in the company, stressing that the future of Singareni is everyone’s responsibility. “We must properly fulfill the responsibilities assigned to us. If we are lazy, we will not have a place in this company,” he stated.

During the meeting, which was attended by area GMs from 11 regions, project officers, and agents from 39 mines, Balaram outlined ambitious targets to be achieved in the next 43 days. The company aims to produce and transport 260,000 tonnes of coal per day and remove 1.7 million cubic meters of overburden. Additionally, consultations will be held with railway authorities and consumers to ensure smooth coal transportation, while corporate GMs were directed to expedite permissions for new mines.

Balaram also called for the preparation of a ten-year strategic plan by departmental heads to secure Singareni’s future in an increasingly competitive market. He highlighted field-level issues raised during his recent tour of 20 mines in the Bellampalli and Ramagundam regions, expressing concern over unresolved challenges such as worker skills development and the need for safer man-riding systems. Measures to ensure the availability of tubs in underground mines, maintain processed overburden stocks, optimize human resource utilization, and conduct counseling sessions to prevent absenteeism were also urged.

Emphasizing discipline and teamwork, the CMD stressed that every employee and officer must adhere to a strict 8-hour work schedule, report for duty on time, and contribute actively to the company’s development. “Everyone should introspect whether they are working for the development of the company,” he added.

Directors Satyanarayana, Suryanarayana, K. Venkateswarlu, Advisor Mohan Pargen, along with GMs S. D. M. Subhani, Manohar, D. Ravi Prasad, and others, were present as the management reaffirmed its commitment to meeting targets and resolving operational challenges across the company.
