World Hindu Lions Founder Perika Suresh Leads 45-Day Maha Kumbh Mela Program
Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh – On the grand occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the final day of the 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela, Perika Suresh, the All India Dharmacharya Peetham National General Secretary, led the concluding ceremonies as the Yajman and chief organizer at Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj. The event witnessed the participation of 1008 Maha Kumbh Peethadheeshwars, 540 Akhadas of Naga Sadhus, and 270 Mathadheeshwars, making it a historic spiritual gathering.
The concluding day saw an overwhelming number of devotees taking the holy dip at the Sangam, followed by special Maha Shivaratri rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva, invoking divine blessings for universal peace and spiritual upliftment.
During the spiritual gathering, several significant rituals and discourses were conducted, including:
- Shiva Purana Recitation – Under the blessings of Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Anant Shree Vibhushit Shankaracharya Swamiji, a sacred Shiva Purana recitation took place at Triveni Sangam, emphasizing the divine significance of Lord Shiva.
- 144-Year Maha Kumbh Importance & Definition – Swamy Vimal Dev, National President of the Dashnam/Dandi Parampara from Matt Machli Bander, 80 Ghat, Varanasi, elaborated on the historical and spiritual importance of the 144-year Maha Kumbh tradition.
- Maha Rudrabhishekam at Haridwar – A grand Maha Rudrabhishekam was performed by Shree Anand Brahmachari Maharaj Ji of Prakar Mission, which is associated with a 1000-bed hospital in Haridwar.
- Rudram Namakam Chamakam Chanting – The sacred Vedic hymns Rudram, Namakam, and Chamakam were chanted under the guidance of Dr. Abhishek Sabil Acharya, invoking divine blessings for peace and prosperity.
- Spiritual Discourse & Presentations – Anand Swamy (Joshi Ji) and Dandi Swamy Maharaj delivered discourses on Vedic wisdom and the role of ascetics in preserving Sanatana Dharma.
With the successful culmination of the Maha Kumbh Mela on Maha Shivaratri, Perika Suresh’s leadership was widely acknowledged for his efforts in organizing this massive spiritual congregation.
