Five of a Family Found Dead in Miyapur, Police Probe Underway
Hyderabad, August 21, 2025: Tragedy struck Miyapur’s Maqtha Mehaboobpet on Thursday when five members of a single family were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence.
The deceased have been identified as Narsimha (60), a daily wage labourer; his wife Venkatamma (55); their son-in-law Anil (32), also a labourer; their daughter Kavitha (24); and their two-year-old granddaughter Appu. The family originally hailed from Shedeu village in Gulbarga district of Karnataka.
According to preliminary reports, the incident took place inside the family’s home. While police suspect it could be a case of suicide, the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination. The bodies have been shifted to a government hospital for autopsy.
Miyapur police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Forensic teams are collecting evidence from the site, while officials are also questioning neighbours and relatives to piece together the sequence of events.
