16 of Fortune World’s ‘Best Workplaces 2025’ Have Presence in India — Strengthening Country’s Global Footprint
Mumbai, Nov 13: In a remarkable testament to India’s growing prominence in the global corporate ecosystem, 16 out of the 25 companies named in Fortune’s prestigious ‘World’s Best Workplaces 2025’ list have operations in India. The recognition highlights India’s increasing importance as a hub for innovation, inclusivity, and employee-friendly work culture.
The rankings, jointly curated by Great Place To Work® — the global authority on workplace culture — and *Fortune Media, were derived from an extensive survey of *over 9 million employees across 25 million workers globally during 2024 and 2025.
According to the report, the recognised organisations excelled in building trust, nurturing pride among employees, and fostering strong workplace camaraderie, both within their home markets and on a global scale.
“Out of the 25 recognised organizations, 16 have a strong presence in India, showcasing the country’s pivotal role in shaping the global workplace culture,” said Balbir Singh, CEO of Great Place To Work India. “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the winners who are leading by example and inspiring many others along the way,” he added.
The list, featuring multinational giants across technology, finance, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors, underscores a universal truth — great workplace culture transcends borders. Companies that prioritise fairness, inclusion, and employee growth are not only achieving high performance but also contributing to sustainable communities worldwide.
Highlighting this impact, Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work, remarked:
“Of the more than 9 million employees surveyed, workers at these remarkable companies say their organisations trust them, care about their development, and empower them to grow as professionals. These economic powerhouses strengthen the communities where they operate and are leaving behind a better world than the one they inherited.”
*Alyson Shontell, Editor-in-Chief of Fortune, echoed similar sentiments, noting that the *‘World’s Best Workplaces’ list casts a vital spotlight on organisations where employees feel trusted, empowered, and energized to do their best work.
The growing representation of India in this elite list not only underscores the nation’s evolving corporate landscape but also reinforces its position as a key contributor to global excellence in workplace culture and employee well-being.
