CBI Notice to BRS Leader K. Kavitha; Says She Will Cooperate With Legal Process

Hyderabad, March 12:
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), on Thursday said she has received a notice from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) informing her about a petition filed before the Telangana High Court.

According to Kavitha, the notice was served around 12:30 PM on Thursday, stating that the investigating agency has filed a petition in the High Court, which is scheduled to be heard on March 16, 2026.

In a statement issued shortly after receiving the notice, Kavitha said she is currently consulting with her legal team and will respond appropriately through official legal channels.

Expressing confidence in the judicial process, she asserted that truth would ultimately prevail and reiterated her willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

Kavitha also clarified that serving a notice when an appeal is filed by an investigating agency in a higher court is a standard legal procedure. She urged political observers and stakeholders not to misinterpret the notice in a way that could undermine the sanctity of the legal framework.

The development comes amid ongoing legal proceedings related to cases in which the CBI is the investigating agency. Further details about the petition filed in the High Court are expected to emerge during the hearing scheduled for March 16.

Political circles in Telangana are closely watching the developments, as Kavitha remains a prominent leader of the BRS and president of Telangana Jagruthi.

Officials from the CBI have not yet issued an official statement regarding the contents of the petition. Further updates are awaited as the matter comes up for hearing in the High Court.
