GVR Karate Academy Students Impress with Demonstration at Independence Day Celebrations

Students of GVR Karate Academy showcased their talent, discipline and self-defence skills through an impressive karate demonstration held as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations organised under the aegis of the State Institute of Correctional Administration in Hyderabad on Friday.
The students performed a series of karate techniques, self-defence moves and coordinated demonstrations with remarkable precision and discipline. Their performance received widespread appreciation from the dignitaries, officials and audience present at the programme.
Dr. Soumya Mishra, IPS, Director General of Prisons, attended the programme as the chief guest and witnessed the karate demonstration. She appreciated the students for their impressive skills, discipline and dedication to regular training.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Soumya Mishra said that martial arts such as karate play an important role in the overall development of students. Regular training helps youngsters build self-confidence, mental strength, physical fitness, discipline and essential self-defence skills.
She particularly appreciated the students for maintaining discipline while demonstrating various techniques and praised GVR Karate Academy for providing systematic training and guidance. She said that exposure to martial arts can help students develop confidence and a strong sense of responsibility in addition to physical fitness.
The disciplined parade presented by the Prisons Department staff was another major highlight of the Independence Day celebrations. The combination of the ceremonial parade and the energetic karate demonstration by the students added special attraction to the programme.
Senior officials of the Prisons Department attended the celebrations, including IGs Rajesh and Muralibabu, DIG Sampath, Chanchalguda Jail Superintendent Shivakumar Goud, Cherlapally Jail Superintendent Pramod, PAC Cherlapally Superintendent Bharat, SPW Hyderabad Superintendent Venkata Lakshmi, Jail Academy Principal Srinivas Reddy and Dr. G.S. Gopal Reddy, Director of GVR Karate Academy.
Other senior officers, officials and staff of the Prisons Department were also present.
The karate demonstration not only entertained the gathering but also highlighted the importance of discipline, physical fitness, mental resilience and self-defence among students.
