Hyderabad, April 11: The Cyberabad police have arrested 10 bookies during a raid on an online IPL cricket betting racket in Bachupally on Monday during the match between RCB and Lucknow SuperGiants. The police seized cash worth Rs 60.39 lakh along with property and electronic devices such as laptops, TVs, smartphones, and two-wheelers. The bookies have been booked under sections 3 and 4 of the TS Gaming Act. The main organizer, Pandu, is absconding, while four of the arrested men are from Andhra Pradesh, and the rest are from Telangana. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra warned people against being lured into the vicious cycle of cricket betting, leading to constant addiction and loss of money.
