Khammam, April 12 A tragic incident occurred during a meeting organized by the BRS in Telangana’s Khammam district. The incident, which took place on Wednesday, involved a fire accident and cylinder explosion caused by fireworks. The accident occurred when party workers were bursting firecrackers to welcome party leaders attending the meeting, including Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao and MLA Ramulu Naik. The fireworks caused a nearby hut to catch fire, which ultimately led to the explosion of a cooking gas cylinder.

The explosion resulted in the death of three persons, one of them identified as Sandeep, while Nine others, including a policeman and two journalists, were injured. Some of the injured lost their limbs in the blast. Banoth Ramesh, one of the victims, died while undergoing treatment at Khammam Hospital.

The victims were immediately taken to local hospitals, and MP Nama Nageswara Rao and MLA Ramulu Naik visited the injured people undergoing treatment at Khammam Hospital. The doctors were advised to provide the best possible treatment to the victims.

The tragedy took place in a spiritual gathering held in Cheemalapadu village, Karepalli Mandal, in Khammam district. The fire accident and explosion caused by the fireworks have left many devastated and mourning the loss of life.
