Hyderabad, January18
The Income Tax Department (IT) officials are conducting simultaneous searches in over 50 locations across the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Wednesday, targeting real estate and film financiers. As per sources, 35 teams of IT officials are carrying out the searches.
On Wednesday, the IT sleuths visited Aditya Construction under the jurisdiction of the Banjara Hills Police Station, where they searched the residence, office, and real estate companies of builder Madhav Reddy. There are allegations that he is a Benami for a prominent builder.
Additionally, the IT officials are searching the residences and offices of OORJITA Project Private Limited directors Srinivas Reddy and Veera Prakash. Properties in areas such as Lodha Apartment, Jubilee Hills, Gachibowli, Kondapur and Panjagutta in Kukatpally are also being searched.
