Amaravati, April 24: The ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh has claimed that over one crore families in the state have participated in its mega people’s survey named “Jagananne Maa Bhavishyathu” (Jagan Anna is our future) in the last 15 days. The party released an interim report on Monday, stating that the response has been positive on the ground.

The YSRCP held press conferences in various assembly constituencies to celebrate the milestone. Party leaders said that the results of the survey reflect the public’s opinion and are extraordinary. In just 15 days, one crore families participated in the survey, and over 79 lakh missed calls were received in support of Chief Minister Jagananna’s government, said Vijayawada West MLA Vellampalli Srinivas.

The aim of the campaign was to survey 100 households in the state (all 1.65 crore families), said Macherla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy. YSRCP plans to reveal the final results of the survey on April 29.

The YSRCP launched the survey on April 7, with about 7 lakh grassroots workers reaching out to all households in the state, covering a population of five crore. The workers carried a survey questionnaire for feedback and explained the difference between the YSRCP and TDP governments by showing a pamphlet.

The public was asked five questions, including whether they trust Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for their future. At the end of the survey, the party workers requested the public to give a missed call to the party’s dedicated mobile number 8296082960. As soon as they gave a missed call, the caller received a voice call of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy as a token of thanks.

The YSRCP claims that this is the most expensive and on-ground campaign done by any political party in the country. Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram said that CM Jagan is a credible leader who has ushered in the era of welfare. Kamalapuram MLA Ravindranath Reddy hit out at the opposition, saying that they are having sleepless nights because of the positive feedback that the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyathu is getting on the ground, especially in assembly constituencies that are traditionally considered to be opposition strongholds.
