Hyderabad, April 26 – The strike by electrical artizens demanding a 50% increase in fitness came to an end on Wednesday as union leaders successfully held talks with Genco-Transco CMD Devulapalli Prabhakara Rao. The strike had caused the termination of 200 artizens who participated in the protest.

On Tuesday, the terminated artizens agreed to be reinstated on duty after the intervention of MLA Balala and union leaders. The talks with CMD Prabhakar Rao on Wednesday resulted in a favorable outcome for the striking artizens.

CMD Prabhakar Rao ordered the union leaders to respond positively to the request for reinstating the terminated artisans. After discussions, the union leaders announced that the strike would be called off.

The artizens had gone on strike on Monday with 18 demands, including the demand for a 50% increase in fitness, as the 7% increase offered was deemed insufficient. In response, CMD Prabhakar Rao stated that he understood their concerns, but going on strike was not the solution.

With the strike called off and terminated artizens reinstated, the situation has been resolved amicably.
