Bengaluru, May 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will retain power in Karnataka after the Assembly elections scheduled for May 10. Speaking at a rally in Ayanur in Shivamogga, PM Modi thanked the people of Karnataka for their love and support.

The Prime Minister said that the BJP will form a majority government in the state this time. “Despite being Sunday, people have blessed me. I will be obliged to Karnataka for my entire life. I will not forget this love and affection. Our exam is on May 10. I will give a genuine guarantee. I have a goal to develop the state,” he stated.

PM Modi also criticized the Congress, accusing them of making false promises to the people. He highlighted the efforts of BJP leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa in resolving issues faced by arecanut farmers in the state. The Prime Minister added that his government has taken measures to benefit the arecanut growers and there was no need for panic in this regard.

Further, PM Modi accused the Congress of misusing funds on loan waivers and not addressing the basic needs of schools, such as separate toilets for girls. He emphasized that the BJP has worked towards building separate toilets in schools and fulfilling the basic needs of people.

The Karnataka Assembly elections will be held on May 10, and the results will be announced on May 13.
