Kurnool,May 27, 2023

In a heartwarming gesture today, YSRCP leaders Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Lok Sabha MP from Kurnool, and Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of Yemmiganur MLA K. Chennakesava Reddy, felicitated Suresh Babu, a 24-year-old mountaineer from Kurnool. They commended Suresh for his remarkable achievements, including scaling 7 summits and 25 mountains, including Mt. Everest. Suresh Babu, an ardent follower of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, gained national attention for proudly displaying posters of his ‘real-life hero Jagan’ and his policies, known as ‘Navaratanalus,’ atop every peak he conquered.

Less than 24 hours after Suresh expressed his desire to meet CM Jagan and sought financial assistance, YSRCP’s top leadership promptly reached out to him, offering the necessary support to continue his mountaineering pursuits. The leaders assured him of complete assistance from the government to fulfill his dreams, and MP Sanjeev Kumar also pledged to secure recognition for Suresh’s accomplishments from the central government. Furthermore, they vowed to assist Suresh in obtaining the prestigious Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award through the central government. The leaders then joined in celebrating Suresh Babu and his family as they moved into a new home.

Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of Yemmiganur MLA, expressed great pride in Suresh Babu’s achievements, stating, “We are immensely proud of him. His exemplary accomplishments deserve recognition and appreciation. We will ensure all his financial concerns are taken care of, and the government will provide him with full support to achieve his dreams.”

Suresh Babu, who attributes his success to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been showcasing the welfare schemes implemented by the YSRCP government at the summit of every mountain he conquers. As the first South Indian to scale Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Lhotse, he decided to display banners of the nine navartanalus (nine welfare schemes) launched by CM Jagan on the peaks. Explaining his motive, Suresh emphasized that his life transformed due to these welfare schemes introduced by CM Jagan since he hails from a financially disadvantaged family. Witnessing CM Jagan’s dedication and commitment during his 3,648 km Padyatra inspired Suresh to pursue his dreams.

Expressing his gratitude to CM Jagan, Suresh stated, “I displayed posters of Andhra Pradesh’s government schemes on the nine highest mountains in the country. I accomplished this goal solely because of CM Jagan’s inspiration. MP Sanjeev and MLA Chennakesava Reddy’s son, Jagan Mohan Reddy, learned about me, and they felicitated me. It’s truly exhilarating. I have complete trust in CM Jagan and the YSRCP government.”

Suresh Babu commended CM Jagan for his inclusive motto of ‘no citizen left behind’ and expressed his desire to spread awareness about the welfare schemes offered to the impoverished in Andhra Pradesh, as he himself has benefited from them. He further acknowledged that his family, being farmers, greatly benefited from the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme.
