Rajamahendravaram, May 28: The ongoing Mahanadu saw TDP national general secretary, Nara Lokesh, make strong remarks about the contrasting leadership styles of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and current Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Lokesh praised Naidu as a visionary and labeled Jagan as a prisoner.

During his address on the second and final day of the Mahanadu, Lokesh described Naidu as a hero and Jagan as a zero. He commented that Jagan’s behavior had drastically changed from his portrayal as a soft leader before the last Assembly elections to that of a psycho after assuming power, earning him the nickname “psycho Jagan.” Lokesh expressed gratitude to all the attendees of the Mahanadu and expressed his respect for the party cadre who are working diligently to safeguard the TDP.

Lokesh highlighted the accomplishments of the late N.T. Rama Rao during his tenure as Chief Minister, mentioning the introduction of welfare schemes such as affordable rice, solid housing, public clothing, mid-day meals, and many others that have benefited the people. He emphasized that while NTR made history by founding the Telugu Desam Party, Chandrababu Naidu possesses the capabilities to govern the state effectively.

Lokesh acknowledged Naidu’s significant contributions to the state’s development, including the establishment of the Hitech City in Hyderabad, attracting major companies like Kia Motors, HCL, and TCL. He also praised Naidu for implementing welfare schemes such as Chandranna Bheema, Pelli Kanuka, farmer loan waivers, Pasupu Kunkuma, and the introduction of Anna Canteens to provide food for the underprivileged.

Lokesh claimed that Chandrababu signifies progress, while Jagan signifies destruction. He criticized Jagan for becoming the wealthiest Chief Minister in the country after appealing to the people for a chance. Drawing a comparison, Lokesh highlighted that while Naidu constructed permanent TIDCO houses, Jagan merely distributed small plots of land to the poor. He further stated that the TDP had spent 150 crore rupees during its tenure for the welfare of party members, assuring assistance to any troubled party worker.

Lokesh called for a change, proclaiming that it is time to reject the current regime and reinstate the symbol of the cycle. He urged the party to move away from the Raja Reddy constitution and paid tribute to the late N.T. Rama Rao, predicting that his legacy would endure for thousands of years.
