
Hyderabad, June 18: Telugu students have achieved remarkable success in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023, with six of them securing positions in the top 10 all-India ranks.
Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy from Nagarkurnool district in Telangana secured the first rank by scoring an impressive 341 out of 360 marks.
Notably, the top-ranking female candidate, Nayakanti Naga Bhavya Sree, also hails from Telugu states. She obtained the 56th overall all-India rank, scoring 298 marks in the examination conducted from the Hyderabad zone.

Ramsh Surya Theja secured the second all-India rank, while Addagada Venkata Sivaram, Bikkina Abhinav Chowdary, Nagireddy Balaaji Reddy, and Yakkanti Pani Venkata Maneendhar Reddy clinched the fifth, seventh, ninth, and tenth ranks, respectively, highlighting the exceptional performance of Telugu students.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati announced the JEE Advanced 2023 results on Sunday. Out of the 1,80,372 candidates who appeared for both papers of the exam held on June 4, a total of 43,773 candidates qualified. Among them, 36,204 are male students and 7,509 are female students.
The Hyderabad zone witnessed the highest number of qualifiers, with 10,432 candidates clearing the exam. It also produced the largest number of rankers, with 170 students securing positions among the top 500 ranks. The Delhi zone ranked second with 120 top rankers, followed by the Bombay zone with 100.

Impressively, the Hyderabad zone contributed 40 rankers within the top 100. It further accounted for 75 rankers in the top 200, 121 in the top 300, 141 in the top 400, and 170 in the top 500 ranks.
JEE Advanced is a prestigious examination for admissions to the renowned 23 IITs. Students who qualify the JEE-Mains and meet the cut-off criteria are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination.
