
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated several development projects worth approximately Rs 7500 crores in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Among the projects, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for five National Highway projects, valued at around Rs 6,400 crores. Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the doubling of the 103 km Raipur-Khariar Road Rail Line and a new 17 km railway line connecting Keoti-Antagarh. He also dedicated the Indian Oil Corporation Bottling Plant in Korba.
Using a video link, the Prime Minister flagged off the Antagarh-Raipur Train. Furthermore, he initiated the distribution of 75 lakh cards to beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides healthcare benefits.
During his address, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the significance of these projects for the development of Chhattisgarh. He highlighted that infrastructure development plays a vital role in improving the lives of people and boosting employment opportunities. The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of modern infrastructure in achieving social justice.
He acknowledged the government’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure development in regions that have lagged behind in terms of development. The Prime Minister noted the significant progress made in improving connectivity through road, rail, and telecom infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. He also mentioned the economic corridors connecting Chhattisgarh to Raipur-Dhanbad and Raipur-Visakhapatnam, which are expected to transform the region’s prospects.
Prime Minister Modi underlined the government’s efforts to create new opportunities and industries in areas rich in natural resources. He also highlighted the allocation of funds for employment generation in Chhattisgarh under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).
The distribution of Ayushman cards to 75 lakh beneficiaries and the provision of free healthcare up to Rs 5 lakh annually in over 1,500 hospitals were emphasized as important measures for the well-being of the poor and tribal communities.
The Prime Minister concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to serving every family in Chhattisgarh with dedication. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Union Ministers, and Members of Parliament.
