
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Official Visit to France and UAE (July 13-15, 2023)
New Delhi, July 12, 2023 – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to undertake an official visit to France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from July 13 to July 15, 2023.
At the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Modi will visit Paris from July 13 to July 14, 2023. During his stay, he will be the Guest of Honour at the Bastille Day Parade on July 14, 2023, where a tri-services Indian armed forces contingent will participate.
Formal talks will be held between Prime Minister Modi and President Macron. The French President will host a State Banquet as well as a private dinner in honor of the Prime Minister. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of France, along with the Presidents of the Senate and the National Assembly of France. He will also engage with the Indian diaspora in France, CEOs of Indian and French companies, and prominent French personalities.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the India-France Strategic Partnership. Prime Minister Modi’s visit will serve as an opportunity to chart the course of the partnership’s future in various sectors, including strategic, cultural, scientific, academic, and economic cooperation.
Subsequently, on July 15, Prime Minister Modi will visit Abu Dhabi. He will hold talks with H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has been steadily strengthening, and this visit will provide a platform to identify further avenues for cooperation in energy, education, healthcare, food security, fintech, defense, and culture. Discussions will also encompass collaboration on global issues, particularly in the context of the UAE’s Presidency of COP-28 of the UNFCCC and India’s G-20 Presidency, in which the UAE holds a Special Invitee status.
The visit of Prime Minister Modi to France and the UAE underscores the significance of these bilateral relationships and aims to foster enhanced cooperation and engagement across various domains for the mutual benefit of all parties involved.
