Heavy Rainfall in Telangana Causes Suspension and Diversions of Trains

Hyderabad, July 27: The South Central Railway (SCR) took the decision to suspend train movement between Hasanparthi and Kazipet routes in Telangana as the tracks were submerged in rainwater.

The suspension was implemented as a precautionary measure due to the water level rising above the danger mark between Hasanparthi and Kazipet. Consequently, trains were cancelled or diverted in the affected section.

The following train services have been cancelled:

  1. Train number 17012 Sirpur Kaghaznagar–Secunderabad
  2. Train number 17233 Secunderabad – Sirpur Kaghaznagar
  3. Train number 17234 Sirpur Kaghaznagar–Secunderabad

For Train number 12761 Tirupati-Karimnagar, the service has been partially cancelled between Kazipet E Cabin and Karimnagar. Similarly, Train number 12762 Karimnagar-Tirupati is partially cancelled between Karimnagar and Warangal.

Additionally, Train number 12757 Secunderabad-Sirpur Kaghaznagar is cancelled between Ghanpur and Sirpur Kaghaznagar, while Train number 12758 Sirpur Kaghaznagar-Secunderabad is cancelled between Sirpur Kaghaznagar and Ghanpur.

Moreover, Train number 12649 Yesvantpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin and 22534 Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur have been diverted via Nizamabad-Akola-Khandwa-Itarsi route.

The SCR has taken these measures in response to the heavy rainfall and waterlogging in the region to ensure the safety of passengers and the smooth functioning of train services. Commuters are advised to check for further updates and plan their travel accordingly.
