Unit-4 of Srisailam Left Bank Hydro Electric Station Restored to Service, Achieving 145MW Load

Hyderabad, on 29th July 2023, at 1707 hrs, Unit-4 of the Srisailam Left Bank Hydro Electric Station (SLBHES) has been successfully restored to service after completing all necessary repairs. The unit demonstrated its operational efficiency by reaching a remarkable maximum load of 145MW, utilizing the available water head.

The achievement was made possible due to the dedicated efforts of a skilled team of professionals. Ch. Venktarajam, the Director/Hydel, has been stationed at the Power House for the past week, overseeing the coordination of the repair works. Alongside him, Sri Ega Hanuman (CE/Technical), B. Suryanarayana (CE/SLBHES), S. Venkata Varma (SE), and their team members played pivotal roles in the successful restoration.

In recognition of their hard work and commitment, CMD/TSGENCO conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to all individuals involved, both directly and indirectly, in accomplishing this significant task. The successful restoration of Unit-4 ensures the continued generation of clean hydroelectric power, contributing to the region’s energy needs.
