Self-Defense Course Certificates Awarded at RBVRR Women’s College on International Women’s Day

Hyderabad: The closing ceremony of a month-long self-defense training program, organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Raja Bahadur Venkata Ramireddy (RBVRR) Women’s College, was held in a grand manner. The event witnessed the distribution of certificates to students who successfully completed the training, with college principal Dr. J. Achyutadevi presenting the certificates.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Achyutadevi emphasized the significance of self-defense training for women in today’s world. “Women are excelling in all fields, but their safety remains a priority. Self-defense training is not just about protection; it builds confidence and enables women to move forward independently and fearlessly. I believe that every woman should have access to such training, and I hope this program inspires more women to take up self-defense,” she stated.

The self-defense training sessions were conducted under the auspices of GVR Karate Academy, equipping students with essential skills to protect themselves in challenging situations. The program aimed to instill confidence, enhance awareness, and promote physical and mental preparedness among the participants.

Dr. G. S., Director of GVR Karate Academy, spoke about the importance of self-defense education in empowering women. Gopal Reddy, Assistant Director, and Amrutha Reddy, Self-Defense Instructor, lauded the students for their enthusiasm and dedication. Dr. Jayashree, Director of the Skill Council Center and Assistant Professor of Mathematics & Statistics, also participated in the event and commended the students for their commitment to learning self-defense techniques.

The event was dedicated to women’s empowerment, and the students showcased their newly acquired skills through an impressive demonstration, highlighting various self-defense techniques they had learned over the past month. The training program was well-received, with students expressing gratitude for the opportunity to gain practical self-defense knowledge.
