Dr. Sravan Dasoju is a distinguished personality with a diverse background spanning nearly 40 years of dedicated service to various fields. With an impressive array of qualifications, including an MA in Linguistics, LLB, MBA in HR, and a Ph.D., he has made significant contributions as a Student Leader, Social Activist, Academician, Researcher, Consultant, Corporate Executive, and Politician.
His journey as a leader began during his time at Osmania University, where he was elected as General Secretary and Games & Sports Secretary of the prestigious Arts College in 1987 and 1986, respectively. During those years, he actively participated in various student agitations.
Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Sravan Dasoju earned his Ph.D. from Osmania University, focusing on “Work Values & Organizational Commitment – A Study of Public and Private Sector Executives in India.” His research aimed to understand work values’ impact on organizational commitment.
Despite a lucrative corporate management career, his desire to bring about positive change in politics led him to join BRS (TRS) and actively participate in the Telangana Movement. He played an integral role in several historic movements, including Million March, Sagara Haram, Chalo Assembly, and more.
Dr. Sravan Dasoju’s political journey saw him holding significant positions like Politburo Member, National Spokesperson, and Member of Political Affairs Committee. He was also actively involved in drafting various election manifestos.
In the corporate world, he held key HR positions at Tech Mahindra and Hitachi Consulting Limited, where he introduced innovative HR interventions recognized by prestigious media outlets like Forbes, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal.
As an academician, he served as an Assistant Professor of HRM at the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), where he taught and conducted various management development and leadership training programs. Additionally, he worked on numerous research and consulting projects sponsored by national and international organizations.
Dr. Sravan Dasoju’s passion for social service led him to establish the “Dasoju Foundation,” a non-profit organization dedicated to charitable activities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he actively served the underprivileged and supported children’s education.
Born on 7th June 1966, Dr. Sravan Dasoju hails from the Vishwakarma Caste, categorized as an OBC. His wife is a Principle Scientist & Professor at PJTS Agriculture University, Hyderabad, and his son is a Corporate Management Professional in Chennai.
With such an illustrious background and dedicated service, Dr. Sravan Dasoju’s journey continues as he is set to become a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) after the Telangana cabinet’s decision, adding yet another chapter to his inspiring biography.
