Hyderabad, Aug 2: Airbus Beluga, one of the world’s largest cargo aircraft, gracefully touched down at Hyderabad International Airport on Wednesday.
Famed for its uncanny resemblance to a Beluga whale, this unique aircraft is renowned for its exceptional capability to transport oversized air cargo.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, the operator of the airport, expressed their delight in hosting the majestic “whale of the sky” once again.
For this special occasion, the airport authorities made elaborate arrangements to ensure a smooth landing, parking, and take-off of the Airbus Beluga.
This marks the aircraft’s second visit to the Hyderabad airport in just eight months, with its previous touchdown dating back to December last year.
In the past, the airport also had the privilege of welcoming the world’s largest cargo aircraft, Antonov An-225, in 2016.
The selection of Hyderabad airport as the preferred landing destination for such remarkable aircraft is a testament to its robust infrastructure and technical prowess.
