Vistara Flight Suffers Engine Damage After Tow Truck Accident at Mumbai Airport

Mumbai, Aug 2: A Vistara flight encountered engine damage when a tow truck accidentally struck it during the pushback procedure at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Tuesday.

The aircraft was en route from Mumbai to Kolkata, carrying 140 passengers. Fortunately, all passengers onboard were reported to be safe. Vistara responded swiftly to the incident and arranged for an alternative aircraft to transport the travelers to Kolkata.

A spokesperson from Vistara confirmed that the damaged plane has been grounded for inspection and necessary repairs. Meanwhile, the airline took immediate action to minimize inconvenience to its customers by providing an alternate aircraft.
