Adani Green’s Associate Firm Granted Approval for 2.0 GW Solar PV Plant in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy Ltd., a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector, recently announced that its associate company, Mundra Solar Energy Ltd., has secured approval from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a significant solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing plant. Located in Mundra, Gujarat, the plant boasts an impressive annual capacity of 2.0 gigawatts (GW). It is anticipated to produce a range of advanced modules, including high-efficiency multicrystalline, mono PERC, and bifacial modules.

In this strategic venture, Adani Green holds a substantial 26% stake in Mundra Solar Energy, facilitated through its subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Holding Four Ltd. (AREH4L). This cutting-edge manufacturing facility is part of a manufacturing-linked tender awarded to AREH4L, which is actively establishing an extensive 8 GW solar power generation portfolio.

Highlighting the significance of this endeavor, Adani Green emphasized that the project stands to bolster its market presence within the solar manufacturing sector, fostering synergies with its ongoing operations. Renowned as one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies, Adani Green boasts a remarkable portfolio comprising 25 GW of operational, under-construction, and awarded projects.
